Ofsted 24th May 2018.
We’re really pleased to announce officially and celebrate the success of our recent Ofsted Inspection. The overall judgement was that the school remains “GOOD”.
The full report is available by clicking here and will be published on Ofsted’s website from next Monday.
The success of the inspection was not just about the performance of the school on one day but recognition of the hard work and progress that the school has made over the last four years. The report acknowledges the efforts of all involved, children, parents, staff and governors, in making Corvedale Primary School such a special place to be.
The report recognises the strengths of the school notably the strong teaching of early years and phonics teaching. It acknowledges the quality of the children’s work is of a high standard particularly their handwriting. The report states that the children’s behaviour is good and they are eager to learn.
Fortunately the inspection didn’t highlight anything we ourselves didn’t know about the school and recognised this as a strength of the leadership team. Every inspection suggests next steps for the school to move forward and we worked with the inspector to include targets that we have already started working on.
My personal thanks to everyone who contributed to the inspection in some way, however small you might think it may have been, your best wishes, comments and support were very welcome.
