Special Educational Needs
If a child is identified as needing extra support at any time throughout their schooling our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) Mrs Adelaide Knight will contact parents and work with the class teacher to draw up an intervention plan. Professionals from outside the school – for example, an Education Psychologist or a Learning Support Advisory Teacher – may be involved in assessing the child’s needs and helping us to provide resources to meet them. The school has full access to the Multi Agency Team to identify and provide a wide range of support for pupils and families. This is only done with the full knowledge and co-operation of the parents.
